How to Mark a Customer

7-Series

 

1) Select Utilities from the main Retail Pro window

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2) Select Mark Customer

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3) Select Mark Field

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4) Select Filter

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5) The Filter screen will come up, if you wanted to select customers that had only bought from 1 Vendor you would enter the vendor code in the vendor field and press End on your keyboard.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

6) Enter the date range for the sales period you could like to look at.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

7) Select Mark1 and press enter.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

8) Enter a value for the mark and press enter.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

9) Enter the same date range from before into the last sale date, and if you would like to look at customers that had only bought a certain amount or zip code range. Press enter and your customers will be marked.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

10) In order to print the marked customers go to general reports from the main Retail Pro screen and Select Lists from the right hand side. You can use several reports with customer Mark option, we are going to do an Address list. Look for a report called “CUSTOMERS: Address List” and double click on it.

 

 

 

 

 

 11) Select the Filter Criteria tab, and enter the vaule you gave your mark in the mark 1 field and select OK. Your customer list will be shown and can now be printed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

How to How to Mark a Customer

8-Series

 

1) To Mark Customers in 8 Series we will need to be in DVS. From the Main Rpro screen select, Tools à More, this will open up another box, look for a program called “Data Verification System” and double click on it. This will open up DVS

 

2) In DVS Select Revision à Customer à Flag Customers, This will open up the Flag Customers tool. On the Analysis tab make sure you have History and Analyze all checked. If you would like to mark customers that have spent a certain dollar value select totally amount purchased and  enter the dollar range you want to mark customers in. If you want to Look at Sales Orders and not just Receipts Put a check into “Sales Orders”.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3) To select customers who have bought from 1 vendor go to the Receipt Filter Elements and make sure “VC” for vendor code is in black text by double clicking on it if it is in gray text.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4) Select the Filter Criteria Tab enter the  Vendor Code you want to search for by clicking on the menu box and checking the vendors you want selected.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5) Go to the changes tab, enter a value for the mark and select start. Select Yes if you get a message to save changes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

6) After the Customers have be marked Retail Pro will show you the results to make sure there are no extra marks, you can unmark records which shouldn’t be selected by highlighting it and selecting unmark, or press next to Write the mark back to Retail Pro. 7) To Print your Customer list, Select Analysis from the main Retail pro Screen and Select Lists. Look For the “CUSTOMERS: Address List” and double click it.
