SCHEDULING
REPORTS
Retail Pro – Windows
Reports
With the use of the RPRO Scheduler, Retail Pro allows users to schedule
report groups to run automatically. Follow the steps below to schedule
a report group to print (or be saved)
automatically.
FOR RETAIL PRO v8
USERS:
-
From the main screen of Retail
Pro Windows Reports, click the REPORT GROUPS icon. Click the
NEW button in the upper left. Give the report group a name &
double-click on reports from the appropriate tabs to be included in this
report group. Select SAVE when finished.

-
Once saved, take note of the
column in Report Groups labeled FILE NAME. The filename will
usually be similar to 0000000#.RGP.

-
Next, we need to start and then
modify the RPRO Scheduler. From the main screen in Retail Pro, select
TOOLS and then SCHEDULER. Notice that a new icon should appear
in your system tray (bottom right of the
screen, by the windows time) as shown below.
-
Double-click on the RPRO
Scheduler to open the window shown below. Then select EDIT and
ADD TASK from the top.

-
In the window that appears,
start by giving the task a name at the top. Name the task reflective of
what you’re scheduling (Weekly Reports, Monthly Reports, etc.). Then
select the RUN PROGRAM radio button from the left side.

-
In the box to the right,
labeled Program Name, type or use the folder browse button to find
the REPORTS.exe program. In the box labeled Start In, click
the browse folder to the right and then select OK. A typical BHD
workstation will look as below.

-
Finally, in Parameters
type one of the following parameters. Note that in place of 0000000#.rgp
you would type the appropriate filename noted in Step 2.
