Feature of the Month – April 2006 Version 8 BUILD TOTALS (Recalc SRO)
The Build Totals utility (or Recalc SRO) in Retail Pro can prove to be a beneficial tool for retailers who want to see Sold, Received & On Order information per item on the screen without having to run a separate report. The build totals values (Str/Cmp Sold, Str/Cmp Rcvd, & Str OnOrd) are on most screens by default, but it is important to note that they DO NOT update themselves automatically. They are static fields until the utility is ran, with appropriate date ranges selected. The following steps will show you how to update the values calculated by Build Totals, and then where to view them on default screens. If you have multiple stores, it need only be run at the MAIN location. If you need any assistance in setting this up, please don’t hesitate to call 916.368.1070 and setup an appt to go over this feature with a member of our training or technical support staff.
From the main screen in Retail Pro, select MERCHANDISE at the top.
Select BUILD TOTALS
from the side toolbar. (NOTE: It might be called Recalc SRO)
A window will appear as below. Check off the areas on the left that you would like to build totals for, and then select an appropriate date range to the right. Select OK when finished.
After a brief moment, you will be returned to the main screen. Select INVENTORY on the side toolbar to view the results of Build Totals.
