Printing Mailing Labels Retail Pro’s ability to easily print customer mailing labels for flyers, mailers and other important documents is certainly a desirable feature. The following information comprises some helpful hints to make this task as simple and efficient as possible. Hint 1. Maintain a healthy customer file. Ensuring your employees have proper training in locating customer records quickly during pos helps eliminate duplicate customers. If you find your customer file is suffering from duplicates please contact BHD’s Tech Support to coordinate training to merge customer files. Hint 2. Utilize Retail Pro’s ability to identify city and state by entering zip code first into the customer record. (This is a system preference. ) Version 7 : Preferences>System>Settings>Customers>City State Zip Look Up - yes Version 8 : Options>System Preferences>Customers>City State Zip Look Up- √ Hint 3. Meticulous and consistent data entry into the customer record will improve the accuracy of your customer file and result in less waste when it comes to the task of printing your labels. To Print Labels: VERSION 7 : To print customer labels in Version 7 please refer to the feature of the month for September of 1999 archived on our website at http://www.bighairydog.com/features.htm VERSION 8 : If you have gone into windows reports and not found the ability to print labels, don’t fret. This version of RPRO has relocated the label feature to the actual customer file. To locate this feature, start at the main screen in RPRO.
This Takes You To Your List of Customer Records. List of Customer Records
Step 1 Highlight or Display the customer record for which you want to print a label. (This is not necessary if you want to print labels for all customers listed.) · Tip : Use your Filter View to select specific customers Step 2 Select PRINT LABELS from the context toolbar. Step 3 Select the design you wish to print and select okay. · Tip: Avery 8160 is the design for three labels across Step 4 Choose the name of the printer you want to print to. Step 5 Select to print either: selected record (the record you selected or displayed) or all listed records (the entire list of customers) Step 6 Choose the number of copies you want to print. Step 7 Select Print to print or Preview to view the documents before you print them. |
