Using the Help feature or F1 key

Can’t remember exactly how to do something in RPRO? Or looking for an answer in a specific area of the program and don’t want to call tech support?  How about using the F1 key, it is the built in Help program.  It is indexed or in other words is “Smart”, and will display the help files that match the area of the program you are in.  In other words if you have a question about how to record a sales order, go into sales orders and then press F1, you will see the following screen. As you can see I have highlighted the Recording a sale from an SO and it displays the how to on the right. If I don’t know the answer to your problem I will have you walk me to where you get stuck and I will follow along, then once I am there I will press the F1 button.  Sometimes the answer is right there and I will read it to the client.  I have told this to many customers after I do this with them and the common response is they knew F1 or Help was there they just forgot.  So don’t forget get some free tech support and use the F1 key.

In 7 series I went into POS/INVENTORY>PURCHACING>PURCHACE ORDER.  I then pressed F1 and choose Quick Help I get the Window below which is a summary of commands in RPRO.

If I choose F1 and choose Complete Manual I will see the following screen

 If I want to learn how to create a PO I will select  that options and it will display step by step instructions on how to do that.  F1 is like having a trainer at your fingertips!
