V8 Integration With Microsoft Explorer

In Retail Pro V8
series the main menu of Retail Pro integrates Internet Explorer.
You can use the main menu to show your clients your webpage. More
hits to the website mean more sales!!! People will be more inclined
to visit your website when they already know if what they want is on
there. Don’t have an internet connection at the store you say?
That’s OK. You can store a local (offline) copy of your web page on
your hard rive and point the RPRO main menu to it. Here is how:

Go to Tools>Options>WS preferences. Type in the URL to
your website or the location of the locally stored copy of the webpage.
Choose Save and this will display your page in the main menu of Retail
Pro!
One
of our local clients, Jane Dunham with Pottery World, uses the main menu of
RPRO 8 to distribute her company news letter. This allows her to make sure
that employees are getting important information quickly and they see it
everyday at the main menu of RPRO. If she changes the content it will be
refreshed to all the workstations next time they go into RPRO.

You
can make the main menu any color you like by choosing the choose color
button, and that will apply to the highlighted area. In the user
defined text put your store name there.
