One button Report!

Version 8 ONLY.

Our Goal:  Add a button to the POS Receipt screen that allows us to quickly check sales.

#1 – Create a report.  It can be sales by store, sales by dept, sales by vendor, sales by hour or any format you would like…    However, it must be able to run un-attended, ie. It must have a predefined filter and dynamic date ranges.

#2 – Create a Report Group and add the report from step one into it. Note the FILE NUMBER of the report group.

#3 – Edit the USERMENU.INI file in Notepad under the [POS – ACTIVE RECEIPT] section:

Daily Sales=””Reports.exe” “/pgs” “00000001.rgp””

Button              Reports Program          Parameter         Report Group File Name

Name                                                               print>group>screen

When the button is pressed the report will run and display for about 5 seconds…

 And will automatically save in the REVIEW button saved under the report name.
