Processing Security Files Automatically

This is a correction to the November 2005 Feature of the month..  This Feature of the Month supersedes the November 2005 Feature of the Month on the same topic.

In 8 series, Polling Security files to a remote can be a problem.  They must be initialized each time and then accepted at the Remote.  Also, increasing the inventory file requires initialization of the new inventory file and then the Remote must run RPRO DB.

To cause this process to happen you need to add a task after process out, exchange, and process in.  Add the task RProDB setting the program name to <retail pro installation>\rpro\rprodb.exe, (example: r:\retail8\rpro\rprodb.exe).  Set start in to <retail pro installation>\rpro (example: r:\retail8\rpro); then add the parameters are “/poll /proc” to the task.  Set the task to run after all other polling processes.
